A more manic, multi-tiered development on the jellies I was making in 2019. What started as an exploration into 18th and 19th century European cookery has since resulted in an unexpected nod to Midwestern party food I remember from my hometown growing up.

The trompe-l’oeil element was a major goal with these photo-realistic renderings, made with Cinema 4D and Octane Render. I wanted an image that might look like a photo someone’s mother took of some outdated culinary achievement, circa 2001.
